The Hare Krishna temple is a very interesting location to observe. The grounds are very large, and the temple itself is beautiful. There is a sort of corral next to the temple that houses a few different types of animals, mainly llamas. These animals are considered holy to the Hindus. There is also a large gazebo where they hold festivals outside during the summer time. The temple itself is by far the most striking feature though. The front has a large staircase that leads up to the main entrance. There are also four tower type things on the four corners of the temple with large rounded steeples on the top. The steeples are painted gold and are very beautiful. The rest of the temple is painted white. The first floor of the temple is a type of gift shop that sells all types of Hindu and oriental objects. There is also a parrot in a cage in the corner of the shop. I thought this was interesting, but unfortunately nobody seemed to know why the parrot was there.…

The legacy of the Dutch is still very much alive and felt in Malacca in a form of a red building called the Stadthuys. It used to be the administrative centre of successive governments but now it is a history museum. The Stadthuys can be easily found as it is just beside the Christ Church. Opposite the Stadthuys is the famous Jonker Street visited by many tourists. The Stadhuys is an evidence of a fine Dutch architecture. The building is so firmly made that even with little alteration and maintenances, it still stands firmly and upright. This shows that the Dutch had a great knowledge about the making of architecture. There are many tourists’ shops along the walls of the Stadhuys. From the roof of the Stadhuys, one can see a great view of the Christchurch.…

The ‘Pearl of the Orient’, Penang, is a very well-known vacation destination. Penang’s original name was ‘Prince of Wales’ Island but it was later changed to Pulau Pinang, meaning ‘Island of the Betelnut’. A melting pot of various cultures, Pulau Pinang has a variety of attractions to offer to its visitors whatever their preferences are. While soaking in the sun at one of the many beautiful beaches is a must, visitors must bring along their most comfortable walking shoes because there is a whole new world to be explored in the quaint nooks and crannies of George Town . Offering the best of Asia, Penang 's sights and sounds reflect the colourful heritage of her many races and the pride of her people. Be it lush tropical gardens or ornately designed temples and unique heritage buildings, Penang will give you a glimpse into a world where nature, tradition and history blend into a rich cultural tapestry. Because of that, my teacher organized a cycling trip around Penang Island. So, I decided to join the cycling trip along with my 49 schoolmates’ and 2 teachers who will escort us. We gathered around 8 o’clock in the morning at the Tanjung Bungah. We were lucky because the weather was fine and sunny. The golden rays of the early morning sun brought much warmth and cheer. My friends and I was so excited and thrilled to wait for the trip to start. Before we start our journey, En.Hamdan, who is the trip organizer’s, gave us a briefing about safety and places that we are going to visit.…
