The starting point for this work is to ensure that you have a good relationship with parents. This is important because if parents do not trust their child's key person or do not enjoy working with them, they are less likely to take on board their advice and suggestions. It is also important that you show a good understanding of parents own strengths and interests and acknowledge what some parents already do at home. In addition, we also need to think about barriers that might make it difficult for parents, such as having several young children or working long hours. Recognising these barriers should help us to…

To maintain a commitment to professionalism in childcare you should set a goal for yourself. My goal in my classroom is to set a standard of excellence with in my facility and to commit myself to the growth and development of each child in offering a positive, kind, loving, and safe atmosphere. I have respect, not only for myself but, for my center, each child, and their families. I keep all parental information shared with me confidential. I also uphold all health and safety regulations and make children's well-being my top priority. I remain trustworthy to children parents and staff at the center. I also respect family diversity. This includes but is not limited to cultural differences, orientation, or economic status. I encourage individuality in children. I treat each child with respect and help them to build a positive self- image. Being informed is being ready to assist any child with any need they may have. I feel it is important to always stay positive and keep a smile on your face. Stay on top of new regulations for your center as well as updated laws and other developments within early childhood education. Always make sure you have information to help parents that have children with additional needs your center cannot provide and have contact information readily available for the reporting of any sexual abuse, child abuse, or neglect. I feel I am a kind and loving person and am genuinely concerned about the growth and development of each child entering my center. I want to give them every opportunity to grow and learn in a safe environment. I love working and being around children not just in a group setting but also a one on one setting.…

To set directions and establish values for an early learning and care setting, effective leaders must reflect upon the context that is within the early learning setting, and the professionalism of their staff. To achieve this, educational leaders can create a positive organisational culture that values a high level of openness and trust, where educators are motivated to ask questions, debate issues and contribute to each other's ongoing learning and inquiry. To achieve this, leaders need in-depth content knowledge as well as a deep understanding and appreciation of children's learning and development. They need to be clear about the purpose of services and have the skills to effectively communicate goals and…

As a childcare provider, I help children gain a sense of self by labeling their cubbies with their photos, names, and birthdates. I help them recognize and pronounce their names. I include activities and books about different cultures and different home environments. I provide activities that they are capable of completing and materials that are age appropriate, I encourage children to share stories about their family. I ask them about their family, culture, and gender, I respect and recognize their emotional and physical needs. I help them with activities if my help is needed. I show empathy toward their feelings. I encourage them to talk about their feelings, and how they are different, and give them appropriate ways to express them. Whether they are sad, mad, or stressed. I comfort them. I respect if children have different religions and find ways to get them to participate in activities. I encourage them to be independent, to serve themselves, use the restroom, put things back where they were, and to care for their classroom environment.
