Teen Driving Restrictions
Have you ever wondered why teens need to wait for a few years after getting their first driver's license to obtain one that doesn't have any restrictions? Well, the answer to this is relatively simple. States have implemented laws to aid teen drivers on their new adventure of driving a vehicle. There are two steps to these restrictions that teen drivers have to face. The first restriction is the "driver licensing programs" which requires teens to obtain a set number of years after getting their learner's permit to get a regular driver's license. The second restriction is the, "limiting distracted driving behaviors" this limitation doesn't rely as much on the states, this second restriction relies more on the parents of the driver. To begin with, you might ask yourself, "well, which one of these two restrictions works better in preventing teen accidents." There's no easy way to identify which limit works better; it depends on your point of view but in my opinion, the "driver licensing programs" works better and here's why. These "law" that parents come up with are all connected to teen driving somehow. The law consists of parent and child making a contract on this that they won't do while driving if the child breaks one of the rules they would get punished. Some ways to make this rule work better are: " “having regular conversations about safety, practicing driving together, and [parents] leading by example.” As I said before some people think that this law is better but I'd rather use the "driver licensing program" since parents don't have to be checking up on their kids every time they
