Team Ground Rules and Guidelines
What are the general expectations for all members of the team?
The general expectations are as follows: All Team members will comply with the Student Code of Conduct and the Course Policies posted by the instructor. The team will all participate to work together in the efforts of completing class team assignments. All team members should put forth their best efforts and do their part for the team. Every team member will have respect and courtesy to all other members, and try to work through every assignment.

Expectations for Time Management and Involvement
(Participation, communication with the team, accessibility, etc.)
The team shall communicate with each other their regular and general accessibility so the team knows when they are available. Also, regular communication with the team is required to aid in meeting the participation and assignment requirements of a group task. There are no specific guidelines regarding ‘participation’ in a team, however, regular participation is necessary to facilitate a successful assignment. Participation as a team will take place through good communication on the UoP website and every member should do their part to communicate clearly who is doing what part for each assignment.

    An effective team which performs at the highest level, whilst completing their work efficiently to the best of their ability. An effective team will always consist of certain features enabling effective team performance. Some of these features are as follows; develop goals and plans, i.e. an effective team will always devise a development or goal plan, which will describe the specific purpose for the team. The team will work towards implementing plans to achieve the set goal. Team member should also be clear about these goals and their priorities and consistently work in ways that will support the team’s goals. These relationships can be enhanced by proactively working to build these positive relationships by providing opportunities for social interaction. Problems need to be solved in a timely manner, the same as decision making. An effective team will identify a problem/issue and resolve it promptly with the involvement of all the team. Obviously there is always going to be conflict, an effective team will identify and resolve these conflicts in a promptly and timely manner, which will also be mutually beneficial.
