As the fact, High schools in the United States spend most of the time on sports that is just a minor subject. So, that students who are loving sports may struggle with the other classes that may cause the academic failure like some sciences classes such as math, chemistry or physic…etc. those classes need more time out of class not only in class lecture, if the students spend much time from their schedule to focus on sport they may face the class failure. American high schools should emphasis less time and money on sports, because it may bring back loads of benefits such as reducing the costs, giving chances for the school to raise some fund to renovating some study fields, increasing students passing percentage and much more. In my opinion, sport is also my favorite subject, but it just the minor one. So that I don’t really need to focus on a minor one more than other major subjects like math, chemistry,

The article written by the author states that “It’s not just about grades. Time spent on the field or on the court also benefits your health” Which means that physical activity is good for kids and is needed in order to maintain a healthy and worthwhile life. (O’Shei, 12) The Author includes more information when he states “If we cut back school sports some kids will be shut out of sports completely” his next statement is, “Yes, club sports that is, private leagues outside of school would be an option for some, but fees, equipment, and travel expenses can add up to thousands of dollars per season” Which means that children would be shut out of opportunities to participate because of the high amounts of money needing to be payed for private sport lessons or leagues.(O’Shei,12) While public schools say they're all about equal opportunities, if they shut down the programs that they have kids will not equal connections as the students did before them, which is very unfair, going back on how open schools say their “Job is to create and deliver new opportunities.” Juniors need this more than ever, and if we were to shut it all down they could not begin to know what it is like to have this sort of feeling clinging onto them, having a constant positive vibe around…

Schools across the U.S. have banned sports to increase their budgets and have succeeded. In Ripley’s article “Yes, It’s Time to Scale Back”a school district cut off all sports and saved about 150,000 dollars a year giving the district extra money for much needed supplies(10). “To cut the cost of school the district moved the middle school to the high school building” they renovated the area to suit their needs for a better establishment for students(9-10). Therefore all states of the U.S should stop sports programs to save money because of the fact that schools need the extra money. It is now apparent that schools should shut down sports to increase the amount of money for all districts.…

Sports keep teens well behaved at school and in class. Sports reduce the number of fights, and bad classroom behavior. In order to play any sport in high school, the students must make good grades. If they fail to make the grades, then they are either dismissed from the team, or they must take a study hall before each practice for at least 30 minutes, sometimes even for the whole day until his or her grade comes up to a passing grade. In most high schools, there are problems with attendance from the students. If a player does not come to school, then they may not go to practice or attend the game that…

High school sports are a thing people tend to associate with a lot of other things. Some of them are good, some of them are bad. Their association with these things make people wonder if we should have them in our schools, and the answer is, rather obviously, no. Some may argue that sports play an important role in teaching life lessons to athletes. Yes, you can learn valuable things through sports, but you can take on even better traits through school and teamwork activities in the classroom without the problems that athletics comes with, like injuries and pressure. School comes before athletics and some athletes think athletics are more important than school, so eliminating sports will help these students learn valuable life lessons through school and activities in the classroom with other students.…

Activities and sports in schools is a great way for students to be involved, and to be active. I have done research and there hasn’t been one article I found on why sports shouldn’t be in schools. Having athletic programs and activities in schools are very helpful for students health, it develops team work, helps develop discipline and also perfection. School administrators, and parents, generally support high school activity programs because of the positive effect these activities appear to have on students of both genders. (Braddock P.1)…
