Mrs. Diane Rose D. Tagle Surviving Physical and Emotional Pain with Aromatherapy We do a lot of things every day like going to school or work, do our job, finish our tasks and many more. We are eager to finish all of these as soon as possible which makes us more exhausted and stressed. It causes several physical and emotional pains. One of the effective ways of relieving these pains is through Aromatherapy. Aromatherapy has been used by many people to relieve and refresh our body and soul. The goal of this research paper is to know and understand how aromatherapy can relieve our tired body and soul caused by our stress in our environment and the things we do every day. This paper will widen our minds and amaze us on how aromatherapy can help relieve our everyday problems. Aromatherapy is an alternative and complementary health science that uses the physiological and psychological benefits of herbs essence to manage a wide range of illnesses and to help handle emotional stress or pain. The volatile and essential plant oils (the pure essence of plants) are used, through the sense of smell, to promote health and in treating several diseases ranging from stress, arthritis, obesity, cancer, pain reduction and dementia.

There are many ways Aromatherapy can cure physical and emotional pain. Massage is beneficial in more ways than simply being relaxing, and helps with various aspect. Aromatherapy massage has a more holistic approach to the massage and may include some of the principles on the list above, yet will concentrate on more relaxing strokes, but of prime importance is the selection of essential oils used during the massage, since they are chosen for their therapeutic effect and not the fragrance as such. Aromatherapy massage is particularly suited to conditions involving stress or improving emotionally-related conditions. Self-massage significantly improved symptoms and wellbeing
