Supporting children’s development
Physical development
There are two different ways of physical development, which are gross motor and fine motor. Gross motor means the whole body movements, and, fine motor skills are the way when children use their hands in co-ordination with the eyes and this allows children to perform very gentle procedures with their fingers, with the eyes persuading the detailed movements of the fingers.
Grass motor:
Cruise along using furniture as support
Crawl on hands and knees, bottom-shuffle or 'bear-walk' rapidly about the floor
Stand alone for a few moments
Rise to standing without help from people or furniture
Rise to a sitting position from lying down.
Fine motor:

Emotional and social development gives self-confidence and empathy to a child’s, to develop children’s capacity to communicative, long-term friendships and partnerships with others, children’s intelligence of importance and value to those around children. Children’s social-emotional development affects all other areas of development such as; cognitive, motor, and language development, which are all significant and also these can affect children by how a they feel about them and how they are able to express their ideas and emotions. Children who are well-developed social-emotional skills are also more able to:
