Superstitions: A Gothic Analysis
An atmosphere of mystery must be properly portrayed in this type of literature with proper use of a specific use of gothic elements a proof that they exist. The picture of the existence of a second world for the adventurous girl together with a secret door separating the two worlds provide the film setting a proper analysis and segmentation of events as the viewer observes the anonymities in the secret world. The latter is presented to have a lot of super nature with the inclusion of ghosts and imaginary images which possess a lot of powers (Rudd, 2008). It has in a long term assumption though mentioned that these supernatural beings exist and have supernatural powers which a normal human being does not possess. The Other Mother in the film as well has an image which is not any close to the look of normal beings and her character of getting people from the normal world to her imaginative home provide a clear picture of the operation of ghosts and their world.
