Sun Tzu's Argumentative Essay
No sooner than after the fleet had sailed, charges were brought up against Alcibiades. He was recalled to stand trial for his crimes back in Athens. Why would the Athens want to arrest this man when he was the one leading the expedition? As a ship caught up with the fleet to arrest him, Alcibiades sensed betrayal was awaiting him in Athens; so he took the opportunity to deflect to Sparta while in route back to Athens. Spies are a key element in war Sun Tzu says, and a necessity to understand what is going on with the enemy. (Tzu 1963)
Alcibiades was more than just a spy, he was a coward. Not only did he not return to Athens to face trail, he deflected to the enemy. He provided Sparta the entire game plan on what the Athenians were
