Summary Of Easing My Heart Inside
In McMillan’s essay, “Easing My Heart Inside”, writing has had a very broad influence in how McMillan views life and the many wonderful things it has to offer for her in her everyday life. She describes writing as being her escape, her safety, a place where she can be herself, something that has helped her mature, and the how the craft has chosen her. Through writing she would like to experience and feel why things are the way they are. McMillan explains how she likes to perceive different kinds of emotions. She is truly the definition of an outstanding writer and by reading this essay, we get the sense that she stays true to her work.     Joy Harjo has always been conscious of her gift by stating, “I was entrusted with carrying voices, songs, and stories to grow and release into the world, to be of assistance and inspiration.
