A practical guide to selecting and implementing a new ERP system.

By Dustin Alexander

Get ERP right the first time.

The Enterprise Resource Planning Approach
Manufacturing in the U.S. is getting tougher all the time and the pressure is unrelenting. To remain competitive, you must continually cut costs, increase productivity and improve quality, while at the same time offering better service, faster delivery and lower prices. Fortunately, there is a tool to help you accomplish all this and more.

“ERP can literally transform a manufacturing business, but only if you do it right.”
By now you’ve probably heard all about ERP, the enterprise resource planning approach that cuts cost and boosts productivity by integrating all your production processes into one cohesive system. You’ve probably heard that it can improve on-time deliveries and inventory control while simultaneously reducing administrative overhead. That it can streamline all of your manufacturing processes by increasing visibility throughout the organization. And that it can turn inefficient companies with high cost structures into lean, mean operations that can compete with anyone in the world.
The fact is, ERP can do all this and more — we have seen it happen time after time. But to some, the stories sound too good to be true. So you wonder — can ERP really work in my business? If so, how do you find the right system, what does it take to install it and what kind of return on investment can you expect? From an operational standpoint, how long does it take to get ERP up and running in a company, and how much training is involved? What steps are required to implement ERP software, and who needs to get involved in the process? Most of all, can ERP software actually deliver on all that it promises to do?

Residential schools were seen by the Canadian government as a way to civilize the native population and keep their children from continuing in their native traditions. In 1895 Rev Fr A.M Carion stated in a report from a residential school in Kamloops, British Columbia that the purpose of the residential school is to civilize the Indian and to make them good, useful and law abiding members of society with strict punishments for any wrong doings. 1 Richard Pratt, who founded the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, one of the first of the reservation schools in the United States, preached “you must kill the Indian in him; to save the man”. These ideals were later adopted by the Canadian government. 2 The goal of residential schools was to assimilate Aboriginals into white society through children since they were much more susceptible to influence. This research paper will focus on the residential school system and will argue that the Canadian government and churches committed genocide amongst the indigenous populations in an attempt to eliminate the native culture. It will focus on the history of residential schools in Canada, their intended targets, the health and quality of life of the Aboriginals attending these schools, the sterilization of Aboriginal women, those who succeeded in the school system, and what has changed since the opening of the schools.…

Data stream is a continuous, unbounded and high speed of data. Stream data arrives from different distributed areas. It is impossible to store all data in active storage. Now a day’s mining data stream is a challenging task for the purpose of KKD, fraud detection, trend learning, transaction prediction, network monitoring, online transactions mining and estimation etc for finding different itemsets. Data in streams are newly arrived with time advancement. Such data is necessary to scan only once, consume limited storage and response in real time. This paper is about the review of mining frequent itemsets, closed frequent itemsets, closed weighted frequent patterns, maximal frequent itemsets, online frequent itemsets, online clustering, transient patterns, frequent sequential patterns using different models and techniques to mine such itemsets over data stream. The comprehensive and theoretical review of mining different itemsets over data stream provide base for work in future. This review shows that the models & techniques used like FP-growth, decision tree, appriori,VALWIN, Top-K, Max-FISM, WSW, HCFI, MAIDS and many others for mining data stream is used as primary solution to the problems occurring in mining different itemsets.…

A soliloquy (from Latin: "talking by oneself") is a device often used in drama whereby a character speaks to himself, relating his thoughts and feelings, thereby also sharing them with the audience. Other characters however are not aware of what is being said.[1][2] A soliloquy is distinct from a monologue or an aside: a monologue is a speech, in which one character addresses other characters, whereas an aside is a (usually short) comment by one character towards the audience.…
