Speech on a english project
One thing that I have been cooperative in is the marching band. Cooperation is the most important skill to have in band. It is needed to make all the formations to be in the correct shape. I also need cooperation with others so that we all watch the drum majors and stay in step, play at the right time, and do dynamics correctly. One of the last major aspect cooperation is used for in the marching band is agreeing on new ideas for what to do during the show. Cooperation is the key aspect for any marching event whether it is a football game or a competition. It is a important that we all watch the drum majors for many reasons. The drum majors direct the beat of the music and by watching them we can flow them and stay in step. We can also know when to start and stop playing at the proper times. Lastly the the drum majors show us when we have to play major dynamics. Dynamics are the louds and softs played in the music. Without the drum majors the cooperation in the band would be much harder to control. Another important aspect need with cooperation for marching band is to get into the correct formations. It is everybody's job in the marching band to be in the right place at the right time. If one person is out of place the whole formation looks wrong, which is why cooperation with the other band members is so vital in this sport. The last major reason cooperation is necessary for the band is coming up with new ideas to do during the show. If the band is standing in a formation for a little while we need to do a visual. This involves the members agreeing on an idea and making sure it is practical idea. After it gets approved it is required that everybody learns the move and can preform it with the right technique. This is sometimes very difficult because of one group of members doing one thing and other doing nothing, then they both switch what they are doing. I believe that cooperation is the most important aspect and characteristic

Firstly, marching band allows for people to make a countless number of friends. Marching band is analogous to a machine. All of the components must properly function in order to complete a certain task. Therefore, each member should possess dedication in order to produce a triumphant show and capture the audience’s attention. If one member fails, the whole organization collapses. Through these experiences, I learned that determination and dedication contributes to a successful lifestyle. Otherwise, dreams could never exist.…

I couldn't imagine how different my life would be without marching band. Actually, I might be able to. I would be friendless, insecure, unable to lead, and left with few high school memories. I remember when my band went to Kings Island for their "Trills and Thrills" competition. Just as we were about to go home it began to downpour. Everyone was completely soaked, one kid vomited so we had to put down the windows on the bus, we were all freezing cold and ended up getting sick, but it's something I will always laugh about. I can also recall going to the University of Cincinnati Band Day and learning new games with the other bands and then when my reed broke just as we were about to walk out onto the field and I cried and cried. No matter how bad that moment was, I will always remember it. Those were the best moments of my high school life because they were spent with some of the people I love…

    Marching Band In Schools

The marching band is still a musical representation of the institution that the ensemble is located. The marching band serves as a large recruitment tool and an essential public relations vehicle for music departments all over (Cumberledge). Therefore, musicianship should not change nor diminish because of the type of ensemble. It’s been said that the earliest marching bands were the forerunners of today’s symphony orchestras, concert bands, and instrumental chamber music, as well as the modern marching band (Madsen, 2007, 54). The first marching bands have military origins with the sole purpose of achieving excellence and competing at extraordinary high levels of marching precision and musicianship (55). Therefore, the type of students you recruit is determined by type of ensemble you have. This is very prevalent at many HBCU band programs. The ensemble has its own character. Does the character of the ensemble promote the best in music? Does the character of the band promote academic…

I agree with your analogy of cooperation within the work environment as an example of the benefits of a social contract pertaining to the Prisoner Dilemma. Effectively working as team not only is more effective as well as more efficient in completing work task. As a nurse, I rely on group efforts to take care of patents needs. Everyone sort of watch out for one another and there is a trusting relationship that is established. If a coworker needs help with their critical patients, there will be nurses readily available to lend a hand. That is the social norm of the unit. Nurses who prefer to work alone will find it overwhelming to work complete the task without help because of the complexity that is involved in caring for a patient. If…

Think of small little organisms like ants. They work collaboratively to carry food ten times heavier than they are so that their minuscule colony will have enough food for all the little working ants and the queen. Tiny creatures like ants, bees, and wasps teach us the complexity of cooperation. They build hives and ant hills and nests in such a short time span by working in unison. Team work is the monopoly of animal world and it shows us that is if…
