Good Morning Ladies and gentlemen,
Honorable Judges and audience.
First of all, i would like to thank for the opportunity given to me, so that I can stand here with you all in health and happiness.
Today, I would like to discuss about how to increasing English speaking habit at school.
Why English is important for us?
English is important for us as the International Language. In this globalization era, we are connected to many people from any parts of the world. It is impossible for us to learn every language used in this world so that we use the international language. When we are able to use English, we won’t get difficulties in communication.
Then, English is a key to knowledge and IT. Many books are written in English. If we are able to use English, we will learn more and faster in time than waiting the translated version. In IT, the language used in technology is English. We can read in any electronic tools, the usage instructions are in English. And many more reasons of using English.
As stated before, it is obvious for us to learn English. How will we learn English? There are many ways to learn English. First, we can take a course. Many courses are offered for any levels of learners. Second, we can learn English by listening to the English song. We can find the lyrics and read it while listening to the song. It will be funnier if we choose the song from our favorite singer. Besides listening to the music, we can also watch movies. A movie without subtitle will challenge us by listening activity or a movie with English subtite.
At school, there are numerous ways for us to learn English. At classroom, we will learn Eglish together with our friends. However, the opportunities of using English will be limited of time so that we can
