Southern California Blackout Case Study
Southern California might face a 14 day blackout. This all could happen because a gas factory had a gas leak. The gas factory was supplying 17 different power plants. This blackout might happen during the summer. If this happens then the people affected by this blackout will need backup generators. The officials say the storage facility won't be back online until four months and it won't supply the power plants with the key source to power them. This black out will hit the Porter Ranch area. The 17 power plants are in Los Angeles. Millions of energy customers could be affected in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange and Riverside counties. The regions that are going to be affected by the blackout may also face another 8 to 18 days
