When we were children, we all dreamed about being a doctor, firefighter, police officer, Lawyer, etc. Most of us wanted to be something important or we wanted to help people in need. In my case I wanted to lend a helping hand to make a difference in the world. My career aspirations follow the same moral. That is why I chose a career as a Paralegal. One of the main reasons why I want to become a Paralegal is to help people. Many times the Paralegal helps a Lawyer prepare for a cases, trials, and depositions. I am will be helping the client by researching their case, finding evidence, and finding new laws that may apply to their case. Based on what I have learned thus far, that will lead to my academic success is organization, time management, prioritization, and motivation. I am still working on these skills but I think these skills are something that you must always work on to be successful. My strengths are that I am self-motivated, I think out of the box, and I am flexible. I possess most of these skills from life experience but I also hope to gain better prospective on how to use these skills more efficiently. I have expectation that I will achieve the goals I am striving for. I have many strengths, but with every strength is a weaknesses. I believe my essential concern as I get prepared for my future career is learning more about my area of expertise, communication, and Interpersonal skills.
