What is a social norm? Social norms are beliefs that a large group of people hold as true. They are generally unspoken patterns of behavior that are expected from everyone in the community. They can be in everything from your speech, body language, mannerisms, and general every day actions. How do you feel about conforming to external influences? I conform to specific social norms that have to do with manners and respect; I believe that these are the most important social norms that a person can exhibit, to me everything else is secondary.
