Soccer Team-Personal Narrative
The tension was getting more intense as the seconds passed. We were sitting in the dressing room waiting to go out on the Uruguayan field. Getting the prep talk from coach. The dream place for every player.I couldn't believe it. We had actually made it. We beat the best team on the semi-finals.Richard Downworth’s soccer team had done the impossible and reached the finals. They a team from the lowest rank of the soccer leagues. Charlie Jones was the best kid having scored in the semifinals as a 21 year old substitute.
We went out and set up. It was a dream come true for me. Ninety thousand people in the stadium and millions more watching on tv.We knew we could do this even though we had never done it before. Looking up to the stand I could see the enormous crowd of people cheering for us. The thousands of people that has traveled hundreds of miles to watch this Fifa cup final. All we had to do was win and make them happy.
The referee blew the whistle and Chelsea had the ball. We were pinned against the back and were defending Chelsea's attack. They hit the post and thanks to some amazing saves we were still tied. I tried to listen but I couldn't, I was focused on how I had missed that penalty. We were back on the field and it was a very evenly matched second half with chances to each team. We played good soccer game but just couldn't find the chance to finish. The whistle blew loudly and the match had gone into extra time. We were all tyred but the chance of winning drove us on to new limits .We walked out on the field and were as determined to win this match. We had a good chances but couldn’t seem to score in the first half so the game would have to go on to the second half of extra

In addition to this I also showed good refereeing skills according to those who analysed my performance. This is because I used had a good effective use of the scoring system, this is something which is very vital to a referee’s role as it’s important to know which team in winning. The way, in which I shown good effective use of the scoring system was by making sure the players knew the score every time a goal was scored, I also had a notepad which I wrote all the goal scorers numbers on which made sure I knew who exactly score from which team. This was also a good initiative which I decided to do of my own back. Having a good effect on the scoring system and known the score at all times I important as a ref as when a team scores a lot of goal you may lose count but…

The ball simply combed through the field person to person, shots ripped through the air struck by cannons of legs, and overall team cooperation were instantaneously amplified when they were substituted into the game. (Personification/Metaphor) Soon after, we blended them into our groups during games and in practices. The games we played in practice like “Keep Away” and “World Cup” coerced us to become stronger with completing passes and shot accuracy. Our coach at the time was my favorite soccer coach by far. He was the most inspirational man I’ve ever known and I credit him for the love of the sport that I have developed over the year. His electric personality and ability to bring two conflicting grades together into one homogenous, coagulating unit superseded my…

We were desolate in despair of what to do next.Scoring 2 more goals in such a short time seemed to be the next great challenge for us.But injection of new spirit via substitution by Sir Alex opened a new highway for us in the quest for immortality or I could simply say the champions League title. It was me who scored one of the equalizers by an eye catching free kick from 30 yard mark at the late 70’s.I was then followed by Christiano Ronaldo with his twists and turns which could bluff even the greatest defender of the world. But the most heart-rending scene came for the mighty Barcelona when I scored the winning goal at the 93rd minute by an unforgivable volley from Ronaldo.Eventually,we ended the game by winning the game by 3 goals to 2.It was the happiest moment of my life watching fans taking standing ovations for me as I was announced “The Man of the Match”.I also took bow in reply to them.later,I shared my jersey with Lionel Messi after he appreciated my performance by saying;…

Ben Watson, who had replaced Gomez with 10 minutes to go, powered home Shaun Maloney’s corner for the only goal of the game.Shaun Maloney took a corner kick at the last minute of normal time. His run up slow and concise saw a lovely out swinging cross whipped in, then a flash of ginger hair, as Ben Watson (on for Jordi Gomez) beat the City players to the near post for a glancing header, he watched amazed as all of us as it hit the back of the net.…

Sweat pours down your back. Your neck aches from craning to see the stage better. The seven- hour wait for tickets was grueling, but here you are; watching. Waiting. As you hold up your light stick, you wait with the rest of the stadium in tense anticipation. You have screencaps of their faces from your favorite MVs. Photo cards of their best selcas in your wallet. And their newest album in your bag, ready for signing during the fan meet. Every peso is worth it, just to breathe the same air they do. The air shifts--- suddenly it’s all screams. Voices; high, low, shrill, throaty, scream from all around the stadium as the lights come on and the first beats of electronic music ring out from the speakers. Your own throat aches with its first scream…

It was Saturday night last week. My father, my younger brother and I planned to stay awake that night. Sitting happily together on a sofa in the living room, we were very excited as we watched a football final live which had started since 10.00 p.m that night. It was a match between Manchester United and one of our favourite football teams, Chelsea. We had been waiting for the match of these two great teams for a very long time. At times, we screamed at the top of our lungs when our favourite player, Frank Lampard was attempting to shoot a goal.…

Soon the music stated and the two teams came out. The whole stadium roared into action singing and cheering. I always felt little butterflies in my stomach when I saw Max in his football strip. I was nervous from the minute the starting whistle went. The ball went back and forward to each team member, both teams were putting their all into the game and were fighting for a win. Then twenty minutes into the game City got the goal they needed. Every fan jumped to their feet cheering. I looked down and could see the relief on Max face. Now it was his job to keep the shots out of his net and his team would win.…
