Sleep Chart for 2/20-2/26 : Tia Weatherington Throughout this week I choose to track my sleep patterns I learned many things but also was left slightly puzzled. When it came to some of the results and varying energy levels. I started on Monday (02/20/2016) I ended up sleeping a total of 5 hours and 30 minutes which isn’t a lot of sleep. I woke up and felt groggy which isn’t uncommon for me. I’ve always had a hard time waking up in the mornings. Throughout the day I felt tired, I had a hard time focusing and just wanted to sit around. Now, the reason behind my 5 and a half hours of sleep is that I have a 1 month old daughter. She tends to wake up every 2 hours on the hour and has to be rocked back to sleep and fed. I refuse to sleep with her in …show more content…
The next night Tuesday (02/21/2017) I slept a total of 6 hours and 30 minutes. A whole hour more than the night before! My daughter slept a little longer which in turn allowed me to sleep a little longer. Sadly, I still woke up groggy which again is not uncommon for me. Throughout the day however I didn’t feel exhausted. I was still tired but was able to get things done around the house before I went to work that night. Wednesday (02/22/2017) I slept a total 8 hours and 30 minutes and it was well overdue. I woke up feeling rested I didn’t even need coffee in the morning. Throughout the day my energy level was decent I got things done ahead of schedule. I also had enough time to take my eldest daughter to the park before heading off to work. Now this is where my sleep and energy levels started to leave me puzzled. Thursday (02/23/2017) I slept for 7 hours which is a good amount of sleep for me but when I woke up I was groggy and grouchy. Throughout the day I was exhausted exactly how I felt on Monday but with an hour and a half more sleep. I have no idea why my daughters slept well, my oldest slept all night as usual and my youngest only woke up twice. The next night Friday

    To begin with, my husband was at boot camp for the United States Marine Corps, and I was home alone with my wiener dog for three months. Not much had changed in my routine except that I was alone and I had a little bit of extra work to do. I was working two jobs throughout the week and going to school on 3 days out of that week. My routine consisted of waking up, eating breakfast, and going to school then work, and then work again.     After recording my sleep for a whole week I came to some realizations that I should probably go to bed a little earlier. Though in an regular week, full of classes, exams, and other events I was able to average a little under 8 hours. There were nights that I was only able to squeeze in a little under 6 hours. I was able to go home that weekend, so you can see that I obviously sleep better there than I do in my dorm bed, I was able to catch up on sleep and get way over the recommended amounts.
