Simone Briles Research Paper
Someone that inspires me is Simone Biles; she kept her head up even after coming from an abusive home. Her and her sister, Adria, went to live with their grandma in Ohio at a very young age, and were raised there. Their grandma ended up adopting the two girls, and became like a mom to them, so thats what they called her.
As simone started her life as a gymnast, her grandma had always encouraged and believed in her, and thats what kept her going.

It all stared when Simone and her classmates went to a gym for a school feild trip, and tried some of the equipment out. After the feild trip, the gym had sent home a letter suggesting she joined gymnastics or tumbling, and she gave it a try. In 2007, Simone began competing as a level 8 gymnast in

Simone Biles’ decision to call her grandparents her own parents is her decision and hers alone. Society does not need to put their input on what she need and need not do. The decision Biles made to call them her parents is because they are the ones that played the parent role in her life. According to Erik Brady in USA Today, Simone Biles spent the first part of her life in foster care…

The influential female model in my life is Amelia Earhart. I favor her considering it was her story that impacted me in the manner of expounding on the things that women can do, which is truly anything they set their minds to. As the first female pilot, she was not content with staying in the stereotype of the common housewife. She was not intimidated to step away from stipulation and pursue alternatives as she desired. She was a woman that was confident in herself and did as she saw suitable. She didn’t let the opinions of others draw her focus away. Amelia was inspired to become an aviation pilot in just a few minutes of a ride. Ordinarily, this type of experience is similar to my own experience with Environmental Science. From what I’ve…

People who've we've looked up to, or ways we ourselves have surpassed obstacles and succeeded. My personal example of grit, was the hard road I took, trying to learn English. I was young, the age of six, when I first came to America. I could speak broken English, with a very heavy Indian accent. It was hard, seeing as my mother was a literary fanatic. The idea that her daughter was having trouble with a language that she fell in love with overseas, was hard for her to bear. I could barely write, and being in a classroom with people who spoke it so often, it was tough. I was put into ESL, which was an English learning program, for people who spoke English as a second language. My teacher was a kindhearted woman, named Mrs. Armano. She and I worked, and little by little, I began to learn English. Everyday, she and I would converse and speak. In about one and a half years, I could speak English fluently. It was amazing, with my own hard work I was able learn English, a language that was so daunting. Despite the strange rules, and my difficulty with grammar, I was able to speak. Now, my vocabulary has expanded beyond what I ever thought possible. I myself, have demonstrated grit, a trait I didn’t know existed until a short while…

Everyone has someone in their life who inspires them in some way. For me, it’s my uncle Nick. Kind, loving, and fun, he is the reason I aspire to live the best life I can live. He made me realize how important family was, and how to have a positive impact on the people around you. Everywhere he went he became best friends with everyone. He could walk into a party and not know a single person, and leave being the most known person there. Some people just have that way about them, and Nick was one of them. Unlike Nick, I don’t share his endless abundance of confidence and crecedence that strangers will accept me, but I do share his love of life. Whether it was talking about the Brewers, or hunting, or riding his Harley, he did it with passion.…
