During their childhoods Bigger and Lucky lived in the same environment but different places. The place that they used to live were abandoned buildings. Rents were high at the abandoned buildings, which made it hard for those who lived there. They both wanted to continue with their education, but they couldn’t because of financial problems . In fact, Lucky got into a college, but they did not give him a scholarship. How would you feel if others discriminated you because of your color, your education ?. Lucky is quite different he gets caught and he was arrested too, but Lucky runs away from the police by making himself sick and at night he kills one guard and uses the guard uniform to run away. Another difference is that Bigger kills women while Lucky killed men. Lucky has a girlfriend that is white and he does not abuse her while Bigger has a black girlfriend which he killed her after using her. Lucky says that “every fortune has a crime behind it, but the bigger the fortune the bigger the crime’’. Lucky escaped his harsh path and moved to the coast, while bigger is still in jail struggling about what to do
