In the speech, “I have a dream” by Martin Luther King, Jr., he talks about equality for the all men and how he dreams about a world where people can be in harmony with no division of color. The play, “A Raisin in the Sun”, relates to this subject in multiple facets centering around dreams. The play and speech take place in the same time period of the mid twentieth century, where color was a major divide in society. There are many similarities between the play “A Raisin in the Sun” and the speech “I have a dream”.
