TASK 1: ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
The health care environment is operated using unique structure. It involves a clear set strategy that ensures there is efficient communication. The information can be passed downwards or upwards. The coordination at various levels of management ensures that an organization meets its objectives. The structure of a health care environment can be understood through the close observation of key organizational activities (Weaver et al., 2016, 34). The order of command is an important characteristic that helps researchers understand the structure of a health system. In the case of silver wood home, we have the top manager, team leader and lower level employees. This is a small organization that involves a simple chain of command. However, it is important to understand the communication strategy used in Silver Wood. Jacob, the manager of the organization, makes decisions at his desk and gives directions to the team leader on how to implement them. The decisions made by Jacob are unquestionable. The structure defines distinct roles to the health care professionals. Employees are supposed to obey the command given by seniors. This process ensures that there is timely implementation of key strategies. The workers under the FOS operate under strict lines of command. They are expected to present regular reports to their seniors. This means that the team leader is answerable to Jacob on strategic matters. Similarly, the low level employees must report to the team leader on the process of the assigned duties. Larger organizations may employ the vertical structure due to large number of internal processes (Miner, 2015, 22). Since Silver Wood is small firm the FOS is sufficient.
