Should Vending Machines Be Allowed At School
Have you ever been at recess and you are just so hungry or craving something good to eat. I have felt that way and it does not feel good at all. It would be so much better if we had a vending machine to get something to snack on when you’r hungry. Vending machines should be allowed at school because it helps if you are feeling ill, it replaces missed meals, and it keeps you focused in class.

First of all, I really think we should have a vending machine at school . Sometimes you can be outside and your stomach starts to hurt or you’re very hungry. This causes you to need to go to the office or just be in a bad mood. I bet almost everyone at school wishes there was a vending machine at school to just go and get some snacks if they’re hungry.

Everyday, kids go to school and hope that the food that what they are getting today from the cafeteria is good. In reality, they are met with sickening and repulsive food that even the wretched sight of it makes them vomit. To fix this problem, schools should include more delectable foods that are healthy and delicious to students. Even though some may argue that having healthy food and drinks at school is good, in reality, many students do not even end up eating it or they feel exhausted for the reason that vegetables do not fill a student’s stomach.…

In an article written by Liz Nakazawa about the school lunch problem, she states that “childhood obesity rates and student tendencies to graze on vending machine and fast food fare are only going to worsen, some experts say, if lunch periods become rushed or occur too early or too late to coincide with peak hunger periods.” When schools are forced to have many lunch periods, then logic will tell us that they will not be very long. When a student only has twenty minutes to stand in a long line just to get their lunch and then find a place to eat it, many students will choose to forgo the line and just grab a quick snack and a soda from the vending machines.... It is safe to say that students want to have all eating options accessible at their fingertips. By taking out vending machines, and fast food spots, students will be outraged. In the article “Fast Food and Soft Drink Corporations Should Be Banned From Public Schools”, we can see that it doesn’t work. When students are given limited options, they will seek other resources regardless if they are not available to them on campus. If you were to ban this, then students would just go to other schools, which would definitely lower the enrolment rate. Once this happens, then you will need to seek other ways to make students pay. This can all be avoided if we just allow students to be able to eat and drink what they want…

There is more than one side to the debate about cell phone availability during school. One claim is that students should be allowed to have their phones on them and use their cell phones during appropriate times. In the article, the authors provide details about how there are numerous reasons why cell phones should be allowed during school. Students should be allowed access to cell phones, because if they are responsible enough to be going off to college in a year or so, they should be responsible enough to have a cell phone on them and use it wisely (George and Cook). Another reason why cell phones should be allowed in school is because otherwise it can create a divide between the students and the teachers. Students are so invested in their phones, so if a teacher…

School lunches lack healthy nutrients that growing children and teens need. Because, schools lack the proper funding needed to support students with healthy lunches, students have a horrible diet. A lot of people, including myself, believe that if healthy school lunches were provided students at home would make better choices when it came to what snacks they ate between meals. If schools got better funding for healthier lunches it could theoretically save the government more money because the students in turn would have less health problems.…
