Should School Uniforms Be Worn
There is much heat when it comes to schools making decisions on, dress code each year. Schools let parents and students decide whether uniforms should be worn for the upcoming school year. Of course, many will vote yes, and there are some who vote no. Most likely schools will go with the result that has the most votes. Ultimately, the principal of the school is the decision maker when it comes to the dress code for the school year. Uniforms should be worn in public schools for multiple reasons such as fewer distractions from another student’s clothes; it is less money is spent than on regular clothes, and better attendance rates. One reason that students in public schools should wear uniforms is a good idea is that it is less costly than regular clothes. Most kids usually get the latest trends to fit in rather than wearing the old trends and …show more content…
Students who wear uniforms are more likely to have high attendance rates than wearing regular clothing to school. Schools that wear regular clothing have lower attendance rates than schools that wear uniform. Students are more likely to succeed when wearing uniforms. When the students attendance rate increases, students make better grades and makes the school looks good. Schools with high attendance rates can have better funding to make improvements to the school. Many will argue that public schools should not wear uniforms for many reasons. One may say that regular clothing is a way of expressing ourselves in public. Yes we may have the ability to express ourselves but to a certain extent. While in school you do not really have that freedom of expression as one would at home. Schools can enforce dress code guidelines to be followed when wearing regular clothing.
