Limited Homework Students should only be given limited amounts of homework per day. Have you ever fallen asleep in school because you were up so late doing homework? I know I have before. Sometimes teachers will give enormous amounts of homework. There should be limited homework for multiple reasons. There should only be a limited amount of homework because too much homework can cause stress on some people. Also, students that get a lot of homework might have to stay up late because they either had work after school or an afterschool activity. Teachers do not realize that even though their class is important it is not the only class students have, we have five other classes to study for. The average percentage of stress for high school students is 32.7%. Students should only be given limited amounts of homework per day. Has a teacher ever given you too much homework? Too much homework can cause a lot of stress. Teachers might think that they are helping you, but when in reality they are not. When a person becomes stressed it will slowly affect them mentally. Teachers give a lot of homework, and when they give you hours of homework they sometimes forgot that their class is not the only class we have. Most students take five major classes that give homework; English, Spanish, history, math, and science. If in every class you had one hour of homework or studying to do that would take up five hours of your afternoon. Students do not want to come home from school and do homework; there is nothing we hate more than a lot of homework. Teachers cannot always keep up with their work so why are we supposed to.
