There is many different opinions on guns being allowed on campus. Some think it would cause more conflict and some think that it would protect the students just in case of an incident. I think guns should be allowed on school campus as long as there's a fair amount of rules applied. My first reason why I think guns should be allowed to be carried by teachers on school campuses is because it could save lives. The thing about this though is that if there was a school shooter on the campus, would he suspect a teacher to have a gun? Of course not. This is great idea for schools that have had incidents that might lead to a shooting. My second reason is because it's a right. The second amendment of the us constitution states “a well regulated Militia

Many colleges think they can just do what they want in the sense of rules on campus, which is just about right, but they can only go so far. Due to the second amendment it states that we as humans have the right to bare arms, which means we can carry weapons but with the right permits. So colleges can go ahead and make rules as to guns on campus but according to the amendment anyone that is of the age and is allowed to can carry a gun on them in public. Weather or not they use it in a safe matter is the problem that comes up. But most students on campus that carry theses guns have been through thorough background checks and piles of paper work to be able to do so. Therefore carrying a gun on campus is legal but to an extent but these students should be monitored and have a close eye on them, because you never know what is going on in there…

Picture a class of twenty elementary students hidden under desks around the classroom, and the teacher is begging the children to stop sobbing. Down the hall the sound of gunshots ring out the sounds of people screaming and begging for help can be heard. The shooter is moving closer and closer to the area and all the innocent soon to be victims are defenseless. There is nothing in that classroom that is going to stop what is about to happen. Now imagine a teacher with a handgun that could at least scare off the shooter, or deter them from advancing into the room. Many people frown upon teachers being able to carry a handgun on school grounds, but if they only knew that the thing they frown upon could possibly be saving their kids life. It makes perfect sense that teachers should be able to carry a handgun if and only if they go through the proper training and tests.…
