Concluding your discussion with the statement that as health care providers we must remove our biases before seeing a patient is also important concept when receiving or giving shift change reports. Nurses must learn to not let their own personal values, attitudes, and biases of a patient negatively affect or influence the care they provide (Giger, 2013, p. 31).
