My person is a famous singer name is Shakira Mebarak, Shakira was born on february 2, 1977. Shakira was born and raised in Barranquilla, colombia. Shakira started singing in talent competitions in colombia at the age 10. When she turned 13 she stopped competing and she left home and went to live in bogota the capital of colombia, a couple months while Shakira was in bogota she got a record with sony colombia record.

While Shakira was with Emilio she was recording a song with him called “ciega sordomuda” it hit the latin chart when it came out.Gloria Estefan wanted to translate her song that she sang with Emilio, but it was hard for Shakira because she never learned how to speak english.
