Sexual Orientation
Sexual orientation includes three components. First sexual behavior, refers to specific acts that are defined as sexual by the individual and society. Humans are born capable of wide variety of sexual behaviors. Sexual behavior is not synonymous with sexual ordination. People with homosexual orientation can engage in heterosexual behavior and yet remain homosexual, and heterosexual persons can engage in homosexual acts without changing their sexual orientation. The second component of sexual orientation is affective. Best describe as an attraction. It refers to what a person would like to do if the environment permitted. A homosexual person's attractions are to members of her or his own gender and may or may not be expressed behaviorally.

Gender refers to behaviors or patterns of activities that a society or culture deems appropriate for men and women. Gender includes conceptions of both femininity and masculinity. Gender is determined by the conception of tasks, functions and roles attributed to women and men in society and in public and private life. Gender is not determined biologically. Many people struggle to find their gender. They are afraid that their gender is not “normal”. A normal gender is determined by society and culture. That is called gender roles. Men are viewed as active, strong, and full of courage, risk-takers, tough, and most important reliable. Woman is viewed as primary caregivers, passive, agreeable, and weak. If you don’t fit one of these categorizes you are judged by society. Gender roles are often conditioned by household structure. We learned our gender roles since we were babies. A girl has to play with dolls. And her favorite color must be pink. Boys have to play with cars and trucks. And must never cry. Boys must ever show their emotions. Her transformation had everyone talking about it. Caitlyn Jenner formerly known as Burse is a gold medal winning track star who set a world record at the 1976 summer Olympics. Jenner states that she never felt comfortable in her body as a man. When she was younger she knew something was not right. She was not like other boys. He would dress up like a girl using her sister’s clothes. He also states that she was a lonely little kid. She didn’t have many friends. She would see woman and felt so envious on how comfortable they were with their sexual identity. Not minding how unhappy she was she, decided to go with her gender as a boy. He joined many sports thru out high school and college to keep up with her gender role of a man who enjoyed to play
