Caitlyn Jenner Informative Speech
Who would have thought a sixty-five year old, seventies sports icon would come out about being transgender? Caitlyn Jenner, previously known as "Bruce" carries an astonishing secret for decades. When she finally comes out about something that is seen as controversial to many people, such as being transgender. The already iconic individual becomes more of an icon than she already is; especially to the transgender community.
II. Caitlyn's Early Life
Caitlyn Jenner, born on October 28, 1949 as William Bruce Jenner, in the small town, Mount Kisco of New York, has a very athletic childhood. Scott disick (Kourtney Kardashian's boyfriend) whom is relatively close to Caitlyn explains that when Caitlyn was Bruce he was very quiet and kept to himself a lot. Additionally, In April, 2015 Diane Sawyer interviews Jenner about all of the rumors and speculations. She reveals that she has been taking hormones and how she is dealing with the emotional wrath of everything that is going on. Jenner very recently tweeted, "I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me." People, today, use the Internet so much. Jenner creates a Twitter account and gains 2 million followers in just two days! Jenner has been getting a lot of love and support from his family, friends, fans and people all over the world.
V. What We Learn
We learn that Caitlyn Jenner is an icon and will be remembered forever. She is a great representative for not only the transgender people but for America as a whole. Caitlyn Jenner is a woman who has the strength of doing what she feels happy doing even though she has millions of eyes watching her and judging.
