Abstract The present researches investigate the working women perception about sexual harassment at work place. Main objectives of the present study were to see the type of sexual harassment among working women. For this purpose researcher used interview guide for data collection through survey of shopping malls. Gujrat city was taken as universe. Target population of this study was working women in Gujrat city.Sampling unit of this study was working women of shopping malls. Researcher used purposive sampling method present study. Researcher find out that sexual harassment is most frequently occurred at work place. Mostly sexual harassment cases are not reported.

    Sexual harassment stems from the objectification of women because if some men believe that a woman is just an object, they think they can do anything they want. A prime example of a workplace sexual harassment case is that of Christina Rich, a financial advisor from New Zealand. Rich was sexually harassed, discriminated, victim blamed, and bullied. She was repeatedly sexually harassed by her former immediate boss and was once by a company partner. Rich sent in complaints to higher up bosses of the company, but nothing happened. For instance, “She alleged that between 1999 and 2004, repeated sexual harassment went unchecked, her complaints about discrimination were not taken seriously, and she was punished by being banned from carrying out her job” (NZH 1). None of her bosses cared, and they told her that it was not a big deal. In 2004, Rich quit, and in 2008, she filled a workplace sexism and harassment lawsuit against the company and won. Many women have or are being sexually harassed at work; however, most of them are not as lucky as Rich. Most women who are sexually harassed at work never tell anyone because they are too scared. When a woman does tell someone about the sexual harassment, she is usually victim blamed and told it was her fault, which is why the other women are afraid to tell their bosses about the harassment.     In what is perceived to still be a male-dominated society, one of the most ambiguous topics to broach is that of reverse sexual harassment. Reverse sexual harassment refers to the sexual harassment of a male by a female. While it is not perceived as the norm, there are several instances of this occurring annually. It is generally supposed the actual number is greatly underreported due to the nature of the offence. Both sexual and reverse sexual harassment are forms of discrimination. These acts of discrimination are against federal and state law. An individual who is the subject of reverse sexual harassment in the workplace can register a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). They can file the complaint under the sexual harassment section of the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. In 2004, 15% of all sexual harassment charges received by the EEOC were filed by men (Anderson and Trimings 2006:2). The rubric of reverse sexual harassment may be regarded as a facetious incident between a female superior or female co-worker against her male counter-part; however; this is still an act of discrimination which warrants reporting of this incident to management. Before filing a complaint or contacting a lawyer, make sure there is documented evidence compiled on the inappropriate actions of the individual. In the event that the sexual harassment complaint advances to the judicial process, this will support the chances of prevailing in court and with the EEOC.…
