Seventh Grade In Middle School
This year in middle school has had its ups and downs. We are 8th graders and we are supposed to be setting a good example for the the 7th graders. I am not saying that it's not true because we need to set a good example but if you know are class we like to have fun sometimes.
In school there can be some fun things to do and there can be some no so fun things. Fun or boring you still have to do them. Personally there is no need to whine I think just get it done and turn it in with a smile on your face. This is one of the reasons we get in trouble because if we get a couple of work assignments then the students start to get mad and not do the work that is needed. I know this because I am a main example. I am a person that if you don't get my

High school is a big change to most students. While some are working after school others are playing sports, and other even have responsibilities at their home. However, that doesn’t give students an excuse to not do the work that has been assigned to them. “I had to work until 11 p.m. both nights”, “I had baseball practice”, “I was absent again the day you assigned this”, this are some of the excuses that students use when Christine Baron asked her students if had read the reading assignment that was assigned to her class. Sure working until 11 p.m. at night is tiring but students should learn how to manage their time, school should be their number one priority. Also, just because you’re absent from school doesn’t mean that your excused from the assignments that you missed, it’s your responsibility to email your teacher and/or ask your teacher what you missed when you come back to school the next day. In Barons case what had frustrated her was that her students choose “to give up on homework that’s the least bit challenging”.…

Seventh grade is a struggle for almost every student. It is a completely different atmosphere compared to what students have adapted to in their elementary years. My seventh-grade year started as a struggle, but after hard work and determination, it ended in success. I was a student at Bayou Academy and had been since kindergarten. I was always an honor roll student. It had never been a struggle for me to make good grades. Everything was about to change because of my seventh-grade English teacher, Mrs. Maria Johnson. Because of all of the journal writing in Mrs. Johnson's class, I am a better student today.…

7th grade grade has so far been a year of hardships, good times, dramma filled boys, and hard to manage amounts of homework. I never realized that seventh grade would be so trying. The social life of a seventh grader is not what I thought at all. It can be very dramatic at times when it doesn't always have to be. For example, my friendships. I have made the best friends in middle school so far and I am overjoyed that the people here are so welcoming and eager to get to know you. Sometimes especially it seventh grade it seems that girl dramma is the big thing. That can sometimes ruin other friendships that you have with people that aren't even involved. Boys in seventh grade are aggravating. They sometimes think that they know everything about…

Children misbehave for many reasons. Some reasons for misbehavior can be to get attention, disappointment, new situations, testing limits, or imitation (Richardson, R., n.d.). Continuously reprimanding the student could interfere with class instruction time while ignoring could cause others to mock the behavior- believing that it was acceptable. Educators have tried many intervention-strategies to see which one would work best. Some might have tried behavior contracts, but if the student is too young or simply not able to read or write, the teacher will have to make time to assist the student with the contract. Others had tried taking away minutes of the student’s recess/choice time. However, this means that the teacher’s time will again be affected. What is needed is a method that will decrease and eventually terminate the undesirable behaviors while simultaneously preserving teacher’s time. This study is to see if the rubber-band intervention method will do just that. The ultimate goal is to help students develop self-control.…

Judaism has had many ups and downs in its history. During all that time they developed beliefs, sacred writings and places, holidays, and traditions. Not only that, Judaism has many very important people. Many people still study Judaism. “Wherever you go; I will go; wherever you lodge; I will lodge; your people, shall be my people and your God, my God” Ruth to Naomi (Jackson, Speilvogel)…

During my second year in elementary school, due to the fact that I was doing so horribly in my grades, my parents decided to send me back to El Salvador to bring up my grades. In El Salvador, I lived with my grandma, my cousins, my great aunts and uncles, and most of my family. The schools in El Salvador were so much more different than the schools in America. Since El Salvador is a poor country, the schools couldn’t afford to serve lunch and the houses were much smaller. In America, most kids did not really walk or play outside; they were usually kept locked up in their room, sipping on juice and watching tv. But the kids in El Salvador; they knew how to live their life with meaning. Every single day, as I made more and more friends, I would go to the soccer field and play games outside. We would play tag, soccer, baseball, soft ball; pretty much any kind of sport you could imagine. The soccer fields in El Salvador were the place where I, eventually, learned to play softball. Softball is like baseball but is usually referred to as, “baseball but for girls.” After learning how to play softball, I decided to join a small softball team that was formed in my second grade class of elementary school. Being on that team, allowed me to be at the fields even more and taught me to love the sport. The idea of fresh air, blue skies, grass stains, balls, and bats made me excited and energetic. Every time I hit the ball with my bat, I ran as fast as my legs could take me, striving to reach the home plate and score a point for my team. Running on the fields all day and hanging out with friends, giggling at our innocent, naïve quirks and remarks gave my childhood, memories of freedom and promise. I now look at life like a baseball diamond; you just have to hit the ball and keep running until you finally reach home plate and…

I believe that education is very important, and a blessing to have in life. Growing up, I was always told by my family to study hard. I did not know what they truly meant until I was in grade twelve. I realized that studying hard will help to have good grades. Having good grades will lead me to attending a university. I was very stressed in my last year of high school because I wanted to prove to my family that I am smarter than what they believed. I did not receive honor roll when I was in grade nine, ten or eleven. Grade twelve was the year where I finally knew how to study. Funny, right? Throughout my years in high school, I struggled to study because I did not know how to, and I did not have any motivation. My goal in grade twelve was to…
