Early years and child care.

1.1 - identify the range of service provision for health and social care (adults and children and young people) early years and childcare in own local area.

Doctors Surgeries, offer a wide range of services to the public. Blood tests, medication for minor injuries, different types of vaccinations for example, flu vaccinations. They can also practise health check-up. They also provide health education, offer advice on smoking and diet and run regular clinics. Residential home, offer around the clock care for elderly people, who cannot look after themselves properly anymore. They offer assistance and care for people, older people who are ill, vulnerable or are just unable to cope on their own. Workers help residents with things like, medication, getting dressed, bathing and also keep their residents spirits up and undertake different activities.

Day care, offer care and look after children throughout the day when parents/carers are in work etc. they offer a safe, happy environment in which the children are secure and well looked after. They help children learn new skills like, numbers, colours, days of the week, right from wrong etc.

1.2 - outline the purpose of provision offered by different types of service.

The purpose of provision offered by different types of service is to keep the specified people, well, safe and happy. What I mean by this is for example, in a residential home the purpose is to keep elderly people, safe and help them with their day to day life but still giving them their independence and dignity. In doctors surgery the purpose is to keep the people in the community well and to help prevent illness, worry about their health, help the make the right decisions within their own health.
The purpose of day care is for parents/guardians to be able to leave their children
