Save the Earth
Driving a car is the most air polluting act an average citizen commits. Air pollution is not a good idea for a variety of reasons, large and small. The right ideas for remediation of environmental degradations involve unselfish and compassionate behavior, a scarce commodity. The right ideas involve long-term planning, conservation and a deep commitment to preserving the natural world. Without a healthy natural environment, there will be few or no healthy humans. To understand air pollution you can consider a simple schematic that divides a big problem into components.

1. Local effects -e.g. poisoning humans breathing bad air.

2. Regional effects - fallout from airborne pathogens - infections, particles, chemicals.

3. Global effects - changing interactions between the atmosphere and sun, weather effects, effects on plants and oceans.

Developments in the media made "green" the slogan for action to limit the adverse effects of air pollution. The media often suggested that this is a relatively new consensus that there is an environmental crisis. They excused people who have ignored the effect of greenhouse gases on climates over the past 40 years. Some know what is really going on out there, but most people do not know or know but deny the obvious for selfish reasons.

Green refers to the color of chlorophyll in plants. Chlorophyll is the basis of photosynthesis that allows plants to turn the sun's energy into life energy. Human action destroys plants and replaces healthy ecosystems with concrete and asphalt. Another slogan that emerged was "save planet earth." Humans will not save the planet. The task for humans is to stop destroying the environments that sustain us. If we fail, the planet will do just fine without us.

Firstly, vehicles are one of the leading causes of pollution. They burn high amounts of fuel and release toxin gases; for instance, during the eighteenth century, in London, this resulted in an increase of carbon dioxide in the air, and citizens had to wear face masks to avoid getting sick. Nowadays, engineers have made gasoline and electric powered cars which are economically friendly, and burn less fuel. Furthermore, local travelers who travel as far as going to work, school or shopping or more should only use four cylinders or less powered vehicles to release less CO2 into the atmosphere.…

The everyday automobile would seem like a silly thing to give up with all its amazing factors. But do the bad factors outweigh the good ones? Cars are becoming a large problem in our nation, with the effects they are creating on the atmosphere and world’s environment and people’s health, the dangers of driving, and the outrageously high costs they have, even when there is an easy alternative for the trouble of automobiles. When most people think of the negative side of cars, they might think of the gases being released and the damage it is doing to the world’s environment and ozone layer. As said in Running off Road by Grover Kingsley, “The auto is a huge contributor to greenhouse gas emissions… a whopping 23% of emissions came from transportation.”…

Our planet is in great danger. For the last one hundred or so years, the people of earth have wasted and misused the natural recourses of earth. Several plans have been developed to stop the abuse of earth. Some of these plans I will discuss in this essay, many of which can be executed by any one. Environmental problems have become so complex that many individuals feel they can have no effect on them. Problems like oil spills, hazardous waste, loss of rain forests, endangered species, acid rain, the ozone layer, the municipal waste crisis can feel out of our control. At the very least, these problems require group and corporate action or government intervention. However, there are some things the individual can control. Our waste reduction and recycling activities can make a difference. That's why so many communities began voluntary recycling programs.…
