In this extract we can assume many things about Romeos character by what he says for example ‘in my behalf my reputation stained’ you can tell If you read the line before in the text you tell he is upset and referring to Mercutio and how his death has not only made him mournful; however he annoyed that he was able to help and that be had been to soft as we see from line 110.
Surprisingly Romeo knows how his actions will affect him in the future, we can understand this because he mentions it in line 115 ‘ this days black fate on more days doth depend ‘ although he is so overwhelmed with anger, not only due to Mercutio death but because he had been to soft as we see from line 119 to 120
