Romeo And Juliet And Paris Similarities
The two lovers of Juliet Capulet are different in many ways, but similar in many as well. These characters are from the play of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Concerning their love for Juliet, there are many similarities and differences between Romeo and Paris. Paris and Romeo have different reasons for dying, but the causes are connected by their love for Juliet. Juliet’s love causes both Paris and Romeo to suffer from great sadness, but each for different reasons. The dedication to Juliet that Paris and Romeo share causes for their unfortunate demises. Paris and Romeo experience death, sadness, and love, because of their love for Juliet. Romeo and Paris both die for Juliet. Romeo dies for Juliet because he decides that life is not worth living without her. Paris dies because of his dedication for Juliet, so Romeo does not enter the tomb in which Juliet is lying. Paris and Romeo experience great amounts of sadness for similar because of their dedication to Juliet. If they had not loved her, neither would have been upset when she died. Also, Romeo would not have been sad when he had to leave for Mantua because he has to leave his wife behind. Both men demonstrate their love for Juliet differently. Paris takes the traditional route and goes and asks Lord Capulet for permission to marry Juliet, whilst Romeo secretly marries her. When everyone believes Juliet is dead, Romeo gives up everything, including his life, for his remaining love for Juliet. Paris however, only lays flowers on the tomb and prays, which is the common courtesy that would be expected of anyone.
