Absolutely, I do think that we are in charge of our fate. Even though "destiny" and "fate" have similar meanings, they are very distinct in my opinion. Opportunities are presented to us by fate, but in the end, our choices define our fate. For example, it was fate if you met the ideal person at a party. However, your fate is in the actions you take. In my opinion, we have complete influence over the decisions we make and our responses to the opportunities presented by fate are significant. The difficult choices we must make are what enable us to mature as people, and are the lessons we are here to learn. We cannot wait for our destiny to happen to us. When opportunities arise, we must seize them. Fate may open doors, but if something is meant to be, WE must go through them. We have the choice
