William Shakespeare the author or “Romeo and Juliet” the couple move way to fast in there relationship just like many teenagers now a days. Most teenagers now a days held into couples around 12 - 14. “Research shows, for instance, that teens tend to wildly overestimate certain risks. Of things like unprotected sex and drug use”. Over 13% of teens have had sex before or at the age of 15. Moving to fast is really bad for a couple because if you move to fast then you will have no time to have a fun relationship. Moving fast also creates a lot of stress between you are your girlfriend or boyfriend. The first time Romeo and Juliet had even met they were in masks not being able to see who one other is. “(You) sin from my lips? O trespass sweetly urged! Give me my sin again.”. Although they never met they were instantly moving too way fast for “strangers”. Romeo and Juliet are related to modern day teens for their lack of self control and stability mental. Romeo and Juliet also are like modern teenagers because other then getting to know the person they jump to conclusions. Because Romeo and Juliet have had sex and had moved way fast in their relationship, they are like modern day teenagers.
Just like modern day teenagers Romeo and Juliet do not have the best relationship with their parents. Most teenagers just disregard anything a parent may say towards them especially if the subject has to do with sexual intercourse. “In fact, parental disapproval often has the opposite effect one is trying to accomplish”. After not listening to there parents usually they end up in worse consequence then the first warning. Not listening to parents can result into harder lessons in life. Not listening in life can also end up ruining your relationship with them. Romeo and Juliet’s parents did not get along at all. “Doth with their death bury their parents’ strife.” With so much hate the only way they could over come one others hate for the other is through death of their children. Romeo and Juliet are like modern day teenagers because they go behind their parents back. Romeo and Juliet also are like modern day teenagers because not listening to them usually ends in worse consequence. Fighting with their parents, falling head over heals in love with each other, and suffering the punishments, Romeo and Juliet are like modern day teenagers.
