I like to thank all the people helped me to success in this attempt. Specially my thanks goes to IPM Galle Regional Centre and our lecturer Mr. Prasad Jeerasinghe who make us motivate to do this job well. I am so grateful for their valuable input and support for making case study a success.

Executive Summary
Rolex Mudalali was the leading businessman in the hill country. He owned the largest and the one and only state of art biscuit manufacturing plant in the country and over 2000 employees were working for him. He looked after the welfare of his own employees and their families. He had good interrelationship with his employees. His products had a 70% market share in the local market and he exported his products to 20 countries including USA. He had studied up to grade 6 and never studied the business management.His children studied Master Degree in IT and Fashion Design in Bangalore. At the age of 50 years he handed over his business empire to his two children by appointing them as the Director Operations and the Director Marketing.
Thereafter the whole business management was subjected to new changes. They hired two secretaries as personal assistants and six of their classmates were appointed as managers of each function. The business which was running over 50 years without vision was found to have one thereafter. The employeesknowledge on the vision and mission were tried to be improved by fixing a digital sign board, holding series of seminars and other work floor meetings.The HR Department introduced new incentive scheme based on performance appraisals.
The employees could not absorb these changes and gradually left the company and new people were recruited. During the same period more than a dozen shipments were rejected by overseas buyers citing quality issues.Thereafter employees did not receive the bonus,and all the welfare measures had been stopped.Then newly joined managers including HR manager left the company.
