Road Accident
Every year,road accidents in Malaysia are becoming more and more common in today’s society and contributes to a significant number of deaths as the result.Although the police already take the action to prevent the accidents but it is still raising day by day.Based on the statistic,usually the road accident mostly occur during the festive day such as Hari Raya,Chinese New Year,Deepavali and so on.They are travelling in long distance for purpose to go back their hometown to celebrate with relatives.

There are a few reasons why accidents happen in Malaysia.Firstly,road accidents happen because of speeding.For example,many teenagers in Malaysia like to speed.They drive recklessly and love to ignore the speed limit.Eventhough our government has put up signboard on the road and hidhways but they seem to ignore them.This action not only endanger their lives but it also endanger the lives of other road users.

Secondly,accidents happen when they are in drunk condition.After drunk,they do not realize that they are actually driving very fast because they are influence of alcohol.So,they would get trouble in accident.They lose the ability to focus and drive properly when drunk.It is very dangerous action and the top cause of accidents in Malaysia.

Thirdly,in Malaysia have a lot of road user that are not responsibility.They do not care about the rule provided,they just ignore them to get more comfortable.They are careless and unnecessary mistakes such as falling asleep at the wheel,unsafe overtaking,not stop at the red traffic light and other common disregards of road rules.Distractions is also linked to driver error because accidents can occur when the driver is distracted by the phone to read text

In order to strengthen communications, it has been decided that police network (POLNET) will also be used for disaster management. For this purpose POLNET communication facility will be extended to District Magistrates, Sub Divisional Magistrates as well as the Control Rooms. For emergency communication, mobile satellite based units which can be transported to the site of the disaster are being procured. A group was constituted to draw a comprehensive communication plan for disaster management and the report has since been received. This provides for a dedicated communication system for disaster management with built in redundancies. Besides the satellite, communication and education can play a proactive role in mitigation through awareness about the types of disaster and as to how prevention measures can be taken up. There is also a Satellite based communication system called the Cyclone Warning Dissemination Systems (CWDS) for transmission of warnings. There are 250 such cyclone-warning sets installed in the cylone prone areas of east and west coast.
