Riverside is a city located within the Riverside County, California. Riverside is located near the Inland Empire metropolitan area. The county’s pollution is over 2 million people. Making the Riverside County the fourth largest county in California by pollution. According to the United States Census Bureau, the population per square mile is 303.8 and land area per square mile is 7,206.48. Riverside County is considered part of the Greater Los Angeles. Riverside County is approximately 60 miles away from Los Angeles.
Riverside County is made of 28 cities; Banning, Beaumont, Blythe, Calimesa, Canyon Lake, Cathedral City, Coachella, Corona, Desert Hot Springs, East vale, Hemet, Indian Wells, Indio, Jurupa Valley, Lake Elsinore, La Quinta, Menifee, Moreno Valley, Murrieta, Norco, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Perris, Rancho Mirage, Riverside, San Jacinto, Temecula, and Wildomar. Temperatures in the summer generally average in the 90° F but often exceed 100° F with some low humidity. During the winter, high temperatures average in the high 60s° F but do not rise above 55° degrees during rainy days. January is the coldest month, averaging 68°- 43°F, while the hottest month is August averaging between 95°-64° F. Riverside receives 10.4 inches of precipitation annually mostly occurring in the winter and early spring.
Riverside’s means of transportation consist of three major freeways, the I-215, the Route 60, and the State Route 9. Riverside also provide public transportation it has two Metro-Link commuter rail stations, Riverside-Downtown and Riverside-La Sierra both served by the Inland Empire and the Orange county. Riverside is also home to the Riverside Municipal Airport. Although, the airport is use for private and business aviation it is the only airport within Riverside’s city
