Risk Taker Bill Gates
Bill Gates is one of the richest people in the world. For many years, he was the richest.
Bill Gates would have still been the richest man on earth if he had not been as philanthropic as he has been in the last two decades. He has even got Mark Zuckerberg and Warren Buffet to pledge half their fortunes for charity.
Bill Gates is a legend in his own right. Very few people have shaped up the latter half of the 20th century as he had done. Not everyone can aspire to be a Bill Gates and not many can claim to have the attributes that he possessed and still possesses.
Determined in Business
Bill Gates is aggressive. He has the power of persuasion. He pursues everything with single-minded determination. When he takes up a task, he does it, finishes it and only then he moves onto something else. It is this attribute that has seen him succeeding in almost everything that he has done in his remarkable life.
Risk Taker
Bill Gates is a risk taker. Today, it may seem that billionaires can always take risks since they have money at their disposal. But he took risks when he merely had a few hundred bucks in his pocket. Bill Gates took some risks while founding Microsoft. One huge risk taken by Gates was that he dropped out of college to help create Microsoft. Gates could have stayed in college to learn more, but instead he took the risk to drop out and live his dream of creating Microsoft. Bill gates also took the risk of starting his business on a vision, the vision of the personal computer being a useful tool on every office desk and in every home. Even when his company was a minnow and IBM was a giant, he took on the latter, dragged them to court and also won a settlement in his favor. That saved him from a huge financial loss even before his Microsoft became a global phenomenon.

    In Mr. Gates early life, he was born as William Henry “Bill” Gates III on October 28, 1955. Mr. Gates was born in a wealthy family, his father was a lawyer and his mother served on the board of directors for First Interstate Banc System and the United Way, he also has two sisters. Mr. Gates was very well educated, at the age of 13 he wrote his first software program on the school’s computer and by the time he was in high school he, along with some of his friends, had computerized their school’s payroll system. Mr. Gates graduated from high school in 1973. He was a National Merit Scholar and scored 1590 out of 1600 on the SAT. He enrolled at Harvard College later that same year. Throughout college Bill spent most of his time on computers and was not interested in studying other subjects. His friend suggested that Bill should drop out of college to start his own business. In Mr. Gates Adult life, he collaborated to found Microsoft in 1975 It was proved to be a success and he continued to develop programming language software for various systems. In the mid 1990’s when the use of the internet spread throughout the globe, Gates focused Microsoft on the development of consumer and enterprise software solution for the internet. In January 2000, Gates had stepped down as Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft though he retained his position as chairman.
