Rights Theory Approach In The Workplace
Everyone in the United States is entitled to the fundamental human rights written in the U. S. Constitution Bill of Rights. Therefore, the most important guiding ethical principle that I have chosen is that of the rights theory approach. The Rights Theory managing approach in the corporate world can also help advance a career by providing others with the opportunity to be free in their religious and personal beliefs and rights as a human being. In doing so, a manager can earn trust, provide motivational encouragement, and build relationships within the corporation. However, because privacy can be an issue with this approach, this may have a negative consequence to a manager's career advancement.

The first positive aspect of the Rights Theory approach is that a manager takes into consideration of the fundamental human rights and freedoms as a human being. A good manager will listen and remove obstacles for the expression and freedom of their rights, beliefs, and opinions. Every employee will have their perspective and carry this into their work ethic. The foundation of this goes back to the moral rights approach to managing. Through hard work and commitment, a leader is successful at developing a team of hard working and dedicated employees. Relationships are built on trust and communication. These are key elements to success. A manager will not go unnoticed when teams are formed that show good relationships have been formed through forming trust and excellent communication development.     I believe a manager should possess 3 basic traits. They are self-awareness, curiosity and independency. Let me elaborate more on this.
