Richard Step Strengths Test
After completion of the Richard Step Strengths Test, the assessment indicated my top five strengths as faith, integrity, optimism, resourcefulness, and leadership; with balance as the bottom weakness. These results are indicative of my personality, depending on the situation. Whether in the workplace or volunteering for a community event, it is important I see the purpose of my contribution. Learning about other people's background and culture helps me to appreciate and understand their experiences. In the video, On Leadership A Discussion with Robert Hogan, he stated one of the traits followers want in leaders, is integrity. Therefore, I was glad this quality was indicated as one of my top strengths as I attempt to display this attribute

This book review is on Strengths Finder 2.0. Written by Tom Rath, this book follows and elaborates on Donald Clifton's Strength Finder assessment created in 1998. Strength Finder 2.0 looks to dispel the outdated belief that only weaknesses need to be improved upon. The textbook Psychology Applied to Work describes this concept as positive psychology, "The aim of positive psychology is to shift the emphasis away from what is wrong with people to what is right with people" (Muchinsky & Culberson, pg. 384, 2016). With that premise on its head, Strengths Finder 2.0 looks to first identify the strengths of others and directs them to improve on what they already do so well. Even though the text can be applied practically, the book really focuses…

Another strength value is using my sense of sensibility when addressing problems in the community; this is according to my ethical lens results. I am in the middle on these results, I believe that you must use sensibility but also need to be rational. If I was to favor one over the other it would have to be rationality.
