Rhonda Rousey Essay
The Real Reason Rousey lost her First ever UFC Match and here is why

Maxim Magazine got the scoop of Ronda Rousey’s Presidential endorsement:

“I’m voting for Bernie Sanders, because he doesn’t take any corporate money,” Rousey said. I don’t think politicians should be allowed to take money for their campaigns from outside interests.”

Rousey, an UFC star and actress endorsement of Bernie comes as quite a shock especially her reasoning for backing the “democratic socialist.” Her comments in questions about her views such as feminism, gender equality and pay gap would make one think she leans to the right. Rousey often points to the fact that she

Saunders is known for drawing huge millennial crowds as he screams for the closure of gender pay gap where the government should step in and help boost women’s wages so they are equal to men.

When ask if Bernie were to lose the primary, she won’t be voting for Hillary Clinton. Its clear Rousey isn’t like Hillary, using the feminine card to get far in life as Hillary is overusing this solely to win the presidency. With Rousey being anti-feminist, its clear she wouldn’t endorse the likings of Hillary. If Sanders loses to Hillary, she can’t count of Rousey support.

“I’ll probably vote for a third party again. To be honest, in 2012 I was against both candidates so I just picked any third party because if more people voted for third parties then they would have to take third parties

Rousey endorsement of Sanders prior to her biggest match ever is indication that she should have focused and trained harder instead of weighing in on presidential politics. Now Rousey is not an undefeated UFC fighter, Bernie is happy with the endorsement but might now win the nomination and everyone is still confused to why Rousey would endorse such a person. Hey if Sanders needs to go on the offense and get rough to beat Hillary, he might as well call Rousey. Maybe she can K-O Hillary in 14 seconds or lose in the second round like she did with Holm. Who

Phyllis Schlafly was a lawyer, an activist, and an author. Schlafly ran for Congress twice, but sadly did not succeed on either occasion. She published “A Choice Not an Echo” which gained tremendous popularity and helped Barry Goldwater win the Republican presidential nomination in 1964. “A Choice Not an Echo” argued that the Republican nomination was unfair and rigged by the “kingmakers”. Schlafly’s arguably most prominent accomplishment was the defeat of passage of the Equal Rights Amendment (“ERA”). She argued against the amendment, expressing how the ERA would negatively impact the American way of living, especially for women. She argued that ratification of this amendment would result in women becoming subject to a military draft,…

On the website womensportreport.com, there is sufficient evidence to prove some of the arguments presented by Muriah Burton Nelson’s argument. First, most pictures on the website show the female athletes smiling. Under the training section of the webpage there was a picture that caught my attention. It was a group of people, where the majority were females. They were exercising, laughing and having fun following their male instructor. This is what Newton was referring to when she said that female athletes cannot show any signs of competition. I believe that the website womenssportreport.com perpetuates traditional gender role. In addition, and of topic to the question, I thought most female fighters in the UFC were breaking that outdated traditional…

If you are familiar with her public persona, you will no doubt find written slights to the usual suspects. There is an entire chapter titled, “You Will Never Win a Fight by Running Away,” in which she likens point fighting to “fighting a lawyer.” In another section, she describes the first time she watched a women’s MMA fight with a group of men, relishing the fact that “they were beautiful, yes, but the guys didn’t talk about them like they did the ring girls … who they talked about as if they were strippers.” (Rousey 107)…

Bernie Sanders has a long history for standing up for civil rights as well as minority rights. But he has more recently been recognized for his contribution to the civil rights movement, as a participant in Martin Luther King Jr.’s March on Washington in 1963 and as leader of protests to demand fair housing at the University of Chicago (Wellman). American civil rights activist, Alfred Sharpton once mentioned that if “you were not getting arrested during the 1960s in America, [I] would have to question your leadership around racial justice issues” (Harris). While Sanders was volunteering with the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), Hillary Clinton was volunteering with Barry Goldwater who voted against the Civil Rights Act (Harris). This may not seem relevant anymore, since Sanders is no longer in the running for President; but it is to me.…
