A teacher’s understanding of the support needed and those available for a quality literacy program is vital for success in the early years. Student bodies are made up of a variety of cultures, income levels, languages, and abilities that all must be considered in fostering a love and skill for reading and comprehension. Through an understanding of response to intervention, the needs of English language learners, and in learning how to instruct within the specific stages of the English language learner, a teacher can make great strides in literacy for her students. Response to Intervention (RTI) has been implemented in the school system for many years now to focus on a leveled form of concentrated instruction for literacy development, math, and behavioral adjustments or responses. The support begins with a universal test that provides insight into the needs of the students. While also allowing clues into ways to differentiate instruction, RTI assessments can highlight areas in a program that may need further instruction for more than a couple of students. (Gunning, 2013, p. 31) This data of the classroom, combined with the entire school or district, because of its standard form, provides a comparing ground from grade to grade, teacher to teacher, and school to school for evaluating the effect of evidence based practice and the students’ response to the instruction or program goals. RTI has proven an asset in assisting the analysis of those who maybe in need of special education instruction with continuing to collect data from year to year as support for the student and provide concentrated teaching for those who may need temporary or permanent

    Assessment and identification are key elements in education, in particular, special education. Assessing students is essential to knowing where to begin with a student. No matter what the student's ability is or is being, they all need to be assessed. After the assessments are done and evaluated, a teacher should have a better understanding of what level of performance the students are in the classroom.     Williams has taken to assist in creating gains in student achievement is to institute data board meetings at each grade level. As part of the PLC process, teachers gather data about students’ specific learning needs and meet together weekly to analyze this data together. Initial screening is done early in the year to establish a base line for each student’s level of learning. Teachers record this data on color coded cards and place them into targeted intervention groups and attach the cards to a bi-folding board. They bring this data to a meeting with Mrs. Williams as well as the intervention specialist and special education teachers. During these meetings each student’s needs are discussed and decisions are made as a team about what intervention programs will best meet their needs. After six to eight weeks of working with students with these initial interventions, the team reconvenes with a second round of assessment data to analyze progress that has been made. Then the team discusses what possible changes to make to the interventions being offered and make necessary changes. This process continues until the end of the school year. At the end of the year, all the colored cards are moved around on the board indicating the progress students have made.     This is a famous Pepsi commercial, known for the famous song "We will rock you" of Queen, covered by the trio powerful singers of America, Beyoncé, P!nk and Brittney Spear, also with the appearance of the famous Spanish singer/actor Enrique Iglesias. This video is rather plot like, very excited, very inspiring, with the setting of citizen, kings and queens and gladiator under the Coliseum of Rome. The three female gladiators were put up to fight each other (Beyoncé, P!nk and Brittney Spear) for the entertainment of the King (Enrique) while he was drinking Pepsi. The crowd-citizen doesn’t seem to like him, as if he is a tyrant, and therefore there were judgment for him everywhere. This advertisement company did made a nice comparison, comparing the possession of the King's Pepsi is like a possession of gold that causes the angry mob, especially it was a hot sunny day for all of them. And so, to trigger the audience interest, when the three gladiators were unleash to fight, they give up their weapon and start singing We will Rock you, like an inspiring tool saying "Pepsi will rock you". Eventually, the lyrics was indeed powerful, " blood on your face, you're big disgrace, somebody got to take your hand and out it into place", all very fit the context of wanting to defeat the King. And when they did, the Pepsi just became a prize and everybody cheered, making Pepsi even more special. Furthermore, Pepsi represented the breakthrough of monarchy; emphasize the individualistic powerful personality that Americans believe they have. Focusing on the detail, not only the advertisement is remarkable in term of content, music and actors but the fact it was release around the summer time make it even more famous.
