Residential Burglary Report Examples
On 11-22-2016 at about 0950 hrs I was dispatched to residential burglary report at 31128 122nd LN SE. Enroute dispatched advised that the homeowner, Elena
Isayev, had called 911 to report that her vehicle had been stolen from her garage. Additionally, Elena reported that she had left a gun in the vehicle.

I arrived at the residence and contacted Elena and her husband, Alexander
Isayev. Alexander stated that he left for work this morning around 0500 hrs and believed that he left his garage door open. At the time, Elena was inside the residence, but was unaware the garage was open. At about 0940 hrs Elena went into the attached garage and noticed that their white Toyota Sienna, WA/AWJ7451, was missing.

Alexander stated that he had several surveillance cameras in the area and they would likely produce suspect information. Alexander walked me into the residence and showed me the footage from the

Suspect two appears to be a larger build, white/or light skin Hispanic male, about 30 years old, wearing a green jacket and black pants. Suspect two enters the vehicle and follows the van as it leaves the area. It also appears that their is a male in the back seat of the silver sedan, but footage is too pixilated to get any further suspect information. Beside the stolen bike and vehicle, Alexander stated that he had a Rugar
Revolver .38 Special (54095239) inside the van.

I was unable to identify the suspects from the footage, therefore, I sent an email to Auburn Patrol units for additional help identifying the suspects. Any further information will be add at a time when further suspect information is known.

I completed a Auburn Motor Vehicle Form and Alexander signed it, including the consent to search section. The stolen vehicle and gun were placed into
WACIC/NCIC as stolen.

Photos of the footage and the garage were placed in the

The gun was found under the passenger seat, but Finish was in the driver’s seat. However, he could have been double parked for a quick getaway and the timing of the event was late in the evening, one must take into consideration the knowledge of the defendant versus the knowledge of his passenger. Finish may have been double parked because his passenger asked him to stop at the store for a short amount of time. Perhaps the passenger was intending to rob the store without telling the defendant of his intentions. In this case, it important to understand how the location of the gun is relevant to the knowledge of the defendant. Upon being stopped by the police, the passenger could have easily placed his gun under seat so far under the seat that it stuck out the back on the…

Upon arriving on the scene I was met by SGT Johansson to describe the scene as he saw it and the homeowners’ statements. He explained the homeowner, Cindy Pinsk told him she looked out her living room window and saw a gray sedan pull up. She heard the doorbell ring. Since she was not expecting anyone, she did not answer the door. She heard glass breaking and ran out the back door to a neighbor’s house, where she called 9-1-1. She saw broken glass on the carpet in the entry hallway and saw where the door had been pried open with some sort of tool. Pinsk told Johansson her Apple computer, a pair of diamond…
