At present, the main energy sources used are non-renewable fossil fuels like coal, petroleum, and natural gas. There are many disadvantages in using these non-renewable energy sources. Irreversible damage to the environment by pollution and global warming, damage to the eco systems and threat to Life itself. So my dear friends, What is the solution? Renewable Energy, YES it is the Need of the hour. So, what is renewable energy? It is the energy that comes from natural sources such as sunlight, geothermal heat, wind, water, and biofuels powered by feed stocks. Renewable energy is sustainable. These sources are considered “renewable” because they are naturally replenished in the normal flow of the world. Renewable resources not only help our planet to stay clean, but also help our economy. There are several sources of renewable energy. Solar power panels can be used to generate electricity. Wind Power is used to run wind turbines and generate electricity. Ocean Wave Energy can be used to run wave power generators and wave power farms can be planned. Biofuels are fuels that are made from materials such as corn, sugar cane, animal fat, sunflower seeds, wild grasses, and soybeans. The fuel is entirely renewable as replacement crops can be grown. Bio waste-Cow dung is used in rural India even today. This ancient renewable energy source is very useful in generating Gobar Gas. Which is similar to LPG.
