Reflective Essay On Strengthsfinder
The five signature themes I got on the StrengthsFinder were: Empathy, Developer, Intellection, Input, and Adaptability. All these traits will be very beneficial to me as a future adoption caseworker. Empathy is the top strength I got, the StrenghtsFinder writes about empathy as “You can feel what they are feeling as though their feelings are your own.” My intuition towards other’s feelings would help me help others, especially if someone is giving up their child to give to another family. As a result, I will be motivated to stay up to date on the latest research and theories to help me stay ahead as a professional. This trait would also help me against entity theory, I will never feel as though I can’t learn any more. My interest and passion in the field would help me strive to continue to learn throughout my career. Finally, I imagine the job being a little unpredictable at times with schedule changes and maybe even someone changing their mind about an adoption. Whatever the case may be, my adaptability strength will help me keep me on my toes and “stay productive when the demands of work are pulling you in many different directions at once.” My talents would make great additions to my resume if they are used correctly. Adding descriptive words such as “flexible” (adaptability), “people orientated” (developer), “critical thinker” (intellection), “knowledgeable” (input), and “intuitive” (empathy) can help showcase my talents and help my resume stand out in the professional

According to the Clifton StrengthsQuest assessment my top five themes are: Responsibility, Achiever, Learner, Focus, and Connectedness (Gallup, 2017). I’ve always been able to identify with the Learner theme. The Learner theme describes the energy and excitement in growing from inability to proficiency, as the most exciting thing about starting a project. Sometimes, when learning is the objective, it barely matters the actual venture or end goal, it is about the development. I’ve often used the idiom; “A jack of all trades, a master of none”, to define my deep desire to absorb all types of skills and material.…

As a writer, there are things that I do well, but there are also things I could improve on to make my writing better. I’m pretty good at getting my point across, and getting people to understand what I’m trying to say. Another thing I’m good at is just writing the paper. Once I get started on a paper it is very easy for me to just keep writing until I’m done with it. However, when doing this I tend to not use the best grammar and be too wordy with my writing. I can definitely fix these issues, and continue to build on the things that I do well.…
