Reflective Account On Career Development
I worked five days per week to assist the academic and career advising secretary and to help students register for classes. I also approved employer’s job postings on JOBSs - an online job board available 24/7 to students/employers. I likewise completed intensive resume training and served as a career peer by coaching about 20 freshmen in all aspects of resume building. I was given the opportunity to serve my peers, to advise them on how to begin their career development, and to support them so they can make inform decisions and create achievable career goals. I used my prior advising background to impact the lives of others and to make a difference in the lives of those I served.
